Our Story

Mission

Our mission is to provide the community with a quiet space to find peace and to develop a healthier, more sustainable life through Eastern Medicine, using Massage Therapy, Acupuncture, and Yoga.

What does the word “healthy” mean to you? Do you remember a time when you’ve felt healthy? At Ground Luminosity, we measure health through happiness, balance and a sense of peace. We will help you define your own health and achieve it through slow, consistent daily practices. We use massage, acupuncture, yoga, tai chi, and qigong to achieve and sustain your health. When you feel better in your body, you are able to connect more to your surroundings, become more grounded and make better decisions in your daily life. Our therapies treat multiple layers of the body, down to the organ level allowing the body to fully heal and for you to feel the effects long after your session. People come to us because they don’t have to get undressed, our treatments are more effective and we follow up. Call us today to schedule your first visit, your body with thank you!

Massage & Bodywork

Awesome experience at Ground Luminosity. Highly skilled and professional practitioners made me feel refreshed, rejuvenated and energized after the shiatsu massage session. I always look forward to coming back for my next visit! Would highly recommend their services to anyone.”

More Than Just A Massage.

Massage therapy is typically one hour, but can be longer or shorter depending on the need of the client. Our therapeutic massage may include a mixture of rocking, thumb or palm pressure, stretching in order to mobilize, myofascial release, or/and lymphatic drainage. Some people call what we do acupressure, but it is so much more. We are unique from the western style massages, where we treat more than just the muscles of the body.  That being said, we work well with western medicine and surrounding doctors and our therapists are trained in both.

All our massages and bodywork stem from the Oriental Medical Theory that all illnesses of the mind and body, with their respective symptoms, are related to an underlying imbalance in an individual’s energy system. Our styles include Shiatsu Massage, Thai Massage, Tui-Na Massage, Reflexology, and Reiki, that relieve stress on the energetic, emotional and physical systems. These treat multiple layers of the body, down to the organ level, allowing the body to fully heal and feel the effects long after your session. Massages allow for structural corrections of the body as well. No oils or lotions are used as you are fully clothed.

Our specialties we treat include, but are not limited to:

  • Back Pain & Sciatica
  • Headaches & Migraines
  • High Blood Pressure
  • Neck Pain
  • Arthritis
  • Fibromyalgia
  • Stress
  • Concussions

Acupuncture

Just came from my acupuncture and cupping therapy session with Kearney. I feel balanced, at ease in the world; a true sense of relaxation and well-being. If you are considering these alternative therapies take the leap! I did and have found it immeasurably helpful.”

Stick With Us.

Acupuncture therapy is an all-natural approach that uses tiny needles, thin as a human’s hair, to awaken the body’s healing systems and helps a person’s overall well-being: physically, mentally, and emotionally. This form of medicine has been used for over 2,000 years. An acupuncture treatment lasts 1 hour and consists of a health assessment with a tongue and pulse diagnosis, then the needles will be gently inserted right under the skin at specific points on your body. The needles remain in for 30-40 minutes at which point you are left to quiet your mind and relax. Many people fall asleep and leave with a heightened sense of awareness and well-being. Depending on what you are coming in for, cupping therapy and guasha may be used in addition to the acupuncture. Acupuncture works well in conjunction with massage and western medicine, helping the body to recover faster and keep symptoms at bay or from returning.

  • Injuries
  • Depression & Anxiety

  • Menopause Symptoms

Lisa’s journaling classes provided the guidance and inspiration I needed to make changes in my life. As I continued to attend Lisa’s classes and incorporating journaling into my life, I realized we are all innately wise we just have to learn and acknowledge how to tap into it, with Lisa’s help we can learn how to do it.   I came away with a new perspective in believing in myself and confidence to make decisions that honors myself first.”
