Welcome to Shiatsu Massage

My mission is to provide the community with a quiet space to find peace and to develop a healthier, more sustainable life through Eastern Massage therapies.

 I use massage, qigong and educational classes to achieve and sustain your health. When you feel better in your body, you are able to connect more to your surroundings, become more grounded and make better decisions in your daily life. My therapies treat multiple layers of the body, down to the organ level allowing the body to fully heal and for you to feel the effects long after your session. More Than Just A Massage.

Massage therapy is typically one hour, but can be longer or shorter depending on the need of the client. Therapeutic massage may include a mixture of rocking, thumb or palm pressure, stretching in order to mobilize, myofascial release, or/and lymphatic drainage. Some people call what I do acupressure, but it is so much more. My massage are different  from western style massages, where the focus is on the muscles of the body, because I treat connective tissue, muscles, organs, and organ systems and their interactions. That being said, I work well with Doctors and other western trained therapists and will recommend you to someone if I feel you need it. 

Eastern massages stem from the Oriental Medical Theory that all illnesses of the mind and body, with their respective symptoms, are related to an underlying imbalance in an individual’s energy system. The styles include Shiatsu Massage, Thai Massage, and Tui-Na Massage that relieve stress on the energetic, emotional and physical systems. These treat multiple layers of the body, down to the organ level, allowing the body to fully heal and feel the effects long after your session. Massages allow for structural corrections of the body as well. No oils or lotions are used as you are fully clothed.

Cultivate Energy.

Qigong is a healing practice of movement, considered the father of Tai Chi. Move from your center with the breath using mental imagery while creating space in the joints and experience the flow of chi. The exercises are simple, from a standing position. Improve balance, reduce stress, lower blood pressure, clear the mind and have more energy with the practice of this ancient form of movement. This class is great for all ages and those wishing to improve their overall health & well-being. Classes are Tuesday’s at 2pm
